Traxler, Adrienne

Adrienne is a Ph.D. student in applied mathematics at UCSC, with an undergraduate degree in physics and a masters in physics education from the University of Maine.  Her doctoral research is in fluid dynamics, conducting and analyzing numerical simulations of "salt fingering" convection with applications in the Earth's oceans and in stellar interiors. She plans to work in academia, looking for the elusive balance between research and teaching.
